About VJ Model United Nations 2024
VJMUNSoc, the Model United Nations society of VNRVJIET, operates as an influential wing under the English Literary Club, Stentorian. Our society is driven by a group of passionate students who have come together with a shared vision— to ignite and nurture a passion for MUN within the VNRVJIET student community and beyond. We aim to educate and inspire students about the significance of Model United Nations, encouraging them to explore global diplomacy, negotiation, and debates.​ Our commitment is rooted in providing delegates with an enriching and immersive experience—one that fosters intellectual growth and sharpens diplomatic acumen.

​​The Hyderabad MUN Circuit has a well-established history, offering participants a wealth of experience through numerous high-caliber conferences. VJMUNSoc is proud to be part of this circuit, aiming to leave our unique mark by offering a distinguished platform for young minds to engage in diplomacy. This year, we are excited to announce our inaugural VJ MUN ’24 Conference, an intercollegiate event designed to bring diplomacy to its pinnacle.

Our upcoming conference will feature a diverse range of committees and agendas, designed to challenge and inspire every delegate. Whether you're a seasoned MUN participant or a newcomer, VJ MUN’24 promises an engaging and insightful experience where you can refine your diplomatic skills and gain a deeper understanding of international affairs.

Welcome to the first edition of VJ MUN.
​
Over the past year, we've been dedicated to the world of Model United Nations, participating in various conferences and proudly securing over thirty awards. This journey inspired us to organise our own conference. Our Core Committee started as a team of seven passionate debaters and diplomats with the vision to introduce MUNs in our college. We have embodied sincerity, transparency and integrity like it was second-nature. I am proud of how far we have come, for all that we have accomplished in a short span of time and will always be grateful to have such amazing people who have made it easier for me to work on such an expansive project.

Our MUN represents more than just an event; it’s a testament to our growth and commitment. Hence, with our November edition, we have doubled the size of our conference, featuring specially curated committees to spark engaging debates over three days, along with a Socials Night to unwind and connect.
We present DISEC — the first committee of UNGA is also the first committee of VJ MUN, AIPPM — evolving from a Youth Parliament into a platform for Youth in Parliament, UNHRC — where we champion equality, and International Press — playing a crucial role in capturing the dynamics of our discussions. As your Secretary General, I am excited to embark on this journey with you. Together, we will engage in meaningful discussions and explore solutions to pressing challenges.
